I am very excited to announce my new pick-up location in Preston Commons! I am leasing the kitchen and café of Café Gourmet on the Go at 8115 Preston Rd, Suite 140, located at the base of the Chase Bank Building. I will be cooking at this location on weekday afternoons and will offer pick-ups from here as well. Most likely the pick-up hours will be Tuesday – Thursday from 4-6 pm, but I will be trying to figure out what works best for everyone.
My plan is to publish a “menu of the week” to offer my specialty pies, soups, salads and gourmet foods. I am also working on adding fresh quiches and other meal items. If you would like any of the offerings, please email or text me and I will plan to make those items especially for you that week!
Here’s what I’m making this week, February 3-7, 2014:
**Homerun Chili – this two-beef, two-bean chili is super savory and guaranteed to warm you to your toes. I throw in a couple bags of fritos and you add sour cream, shredded cheese and cilantro! $15/quart
**Baby Blue Salad – my all-time best selling green salad, features spring lettuce, strawberries, orange slices, blue cheese and my very own Sweet & Savory Pecans and Balsamic Dressing. $10 serves 2, $25 serves 6-8
Homestyle Chicken Pot pie – homey goodness in a pie plate. $25 per pie, feeds 4-6.
Mushroom and Fontina Quiche – a savory quiche that pairs well with smoked salmon and fruit or a nice spinach salad. $20/pie, feeds 4-6. Also available: extra deep quiche $30, feeds 10.
Decadent Carrot Cake Mini Bundt cakes – this heavenly cake with cream cheese icing is a winner. $10 per 2 pack.
