8115 Preston Rd, Suite 140 in the Cafe Gourmet on the Go shop

Salad: Ruth’s World Famous Potato Salad – I don’t like crunchy in my potato salad and after I served this on countless picnics and backyard barbeques, I learned that a lot of people like it this way too! $8/pint

Soup/chili: Split Pea Soup – I am feeling Spring this week so this soup is a nice transition.  I like to scatter croutons on top or serve with crusty wheat bread. $15/quart

Quiche: Chicken Taco Quiche – this is a fun quiche packed with southwestern goodies – black beans, two kinds of cheese, salsa and roasted chicken. $20/pie serves 4-6

Pot Pie: Steak & Ale – after much experimentation, I found the perfect Ale to bring this pie to it’s deep savory level.  Features hearty chunks of beef, carrots, new potatoes and mushrooms. $30/pie serves 4-6

Side: (I am into grain salads right now so I may slip in a second salad of the week here.) Mediterranean Barley Salad – We had a delicious barley salad in Florence and our server drizzled olive oil on it at the table…try it! $12 serves 2-4

Entree: Pulled BBQ Chicken with rolls – another of my son’s favorites.  This is a great weeknight dinner with potato salad and steamed green beans.  It is also great leftover in school lunches. $30 serves 4-6

Dessert: Chocolate Peanut Butter Stacks Pie – this is The Rustic recipe, with peanut butter cream and a fudgy chocolate layer. $25/pie
